This is Haley and Natalie. Natalie holds a special little spot in our hears because her mom and I hung out at tryouts and Nat didn't get accepted on the team. But the coach called her back the next day and invited her to join anyway. AND boy are we lucky. She is fast and awesome for a 7 yr old!!

The second day our team came to life. They won both games and played there hearts out for most of both games. Oh and of course it was 103 on Sat and 101 or so on Sunday. Luckily there was a breeze tho. They played teams from El Dorado Hills, Auburn, Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove.

After Saturday Haley wanted very badly for the team to impress coach so she organized them all to start stretches on their own before he called them to warm up.

I wish you could tell me how I got sunburned sitting in the shade?? Gotta work on that. Tony (Haley's dad) and Grampa came over for the first game Sunday and they won. But the missed the 2nd game where she played forward and got four good chances on goal. Didn't get one this time but that's okay, she was right in there.
What did we learn. Thanks to Cousin Judy we had a rolling basket to carry everything in day two. We learned to seek out and STAY in the shade between games and NOT to spend 3 dollars for a shaved ice! Oh and to carry purell at all times. Do you think I will grow fonder of out houses???

Those are sure some fancy socks!
