We have had company all week. Haley's gramma from AZ came to spend Spring Break with us. Today was the first day we just sat. We went to lunch yesterday with Haley's dad Tony and then did some shopping. Tomorrow after the dentist Mandy, Judy and I are going shopping and out to lunch. I hope she is having a good time. We have had lots of distractions and I think we are all very tired, but overall I think she has enjoyed being here and we have enjoyed having her. She was good enough to help us get some family photos on Easter. Unfortunately Brent couldn't be here but everyone else was in the pic so we are happy.

Easter was a lot of fun. Brent was even able to come to dinner. He just missed the pictures.

Easter Was Great!

I spent a lot of time cleaning, not sure what for LOL But now the house is clean and everyone showed up. We even got some family pictures taken. I love them and will post as soon as I get them from Mandy. The food was great. The numerous Easter egg hunts were great. The kids had a wonderful time and company was terrific so now all you have to do is wait to see the pics. I hope everyone else had a fun holiday as well. Haley and Hayden are off school all week so we are looking for activities. Her other gramma is here til Friday AM so today we are off to see her dad and have lunch at the Bistro or at Chili's....Thanks for popping in. I will add a pic so it's not a dry run but no Easter pics yet.

Well I managed to get the slideshow on here but it's supposed to be over there------------- I give up, guess I will go onto some other challenge like getting my house clean LOL Haley played softball again tonight. It was a 14-14 tie game. BUT there were one inning up on us because it got dark, so in our minds we won LOL We played the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

HONOR SOCIETY AWARDS

Today was a big day for Haley. She made the honor roll for the 2nd time (only eligible twice)! Go Haley. It's a sort of simple ceremony before school but very important to her. They call it 'Cinnamon Rolls and Honor Roll Ceremony". The best part was that the cinnamon rolls were much better this time LOL

95% of her class made 3.0 or better...she was in the 3.5 or better group. Dang that B in math...

T-BALL and SOFTBALL RULE!!!

Hayden had his first T-ball game this week at Tri-City fields in Rocklin. It was so funny. He was in the infield for awhile and his feet were glued to the ground. He would bend over and if the ball came 2 in outside his reach he never moved! Guess he figured it wasn't meant for him LOL He got some instruction and did much better next inning. Haley and I went to watch with his mom and family. It was a little like bunch ball. If the ball hit the ground many of the boys hit the dirt and starting struggling to be the ONE to pick it up LOL

Haley had her 2nd softball game tonight. The first was Sat. We beat the Pink Panthers. Greg and Jordan Armstrong and Tia are on that team. It was fun playing against them. Then tonight we played the Heartbreakers. They had pitching and we did not. They won by many! Haley pitched one inning. Coach Doug told me he wants to get her with his daughter Macie to learn more about pitching. She is thrilled to have help.


On another NOTE, I tried all day to resize the two large pics and it would not work!!! I should ask the cable guy.lol

BLOGGING...BLAH!

Ok, now I feel whipped! I have set here for hours and still can't add a slideshow from photobucket. It teases me but won't let me do it. Any suggestions?

Haley was off early today to choir. That means I should be an hour ahead of my house! LOL RIGHT!

BIG SOCCER DAY and DAY 1 of our blog

Today was a big day in our household. A day to remember and a day to scrap! Haley has spent the last two weekends from 8 am to 9:30 AM (brrrr) trying out for a select soccer spot on the only U10 girls team in our town. Yesterday her softball pics were scheduled for 8:55! Ugh we were stressed because the soccer coaches has suggested that ev We everyone attend all for tryouts! We got up early an got to the high school soccer field 15 min early. She ran right out and started doing the dribble through the cones while I explained to him that we really needed to leave early to get the pics taken. Coach Steve told me to go ahead and leave now, it will be fine. Hummm I pondered it all day. Does this mean he is going to take her or does he already know he ISN'T going to take her??? Oh man. We did the pep talk about 'if you don't make it things will be fine etc' BUT! She did make it and he told her he knew the first day he saw her play that she'd make the team!!! YEAH...it's an exciting day here.Other happenings: Ed had to drive to Truckee three times this weekend to help Mike. He moved there from Florida this month and then the transmission on his truck went out! Geez, when will his bad luck stop! Soon I hope. I am going to try to post a few pics everyday for awhile so everyone can catch up on the great pics that Mandy is takeing. She has started up her photog business and we all wish her the best. She really is talented. And aren't we lucky to have a good photographer in the family again LOL She didn't take the bad ones!!
