So Much Happened

Where do I start? It seems like an eternity since I came in and posted last. It's so funny to me how our lives seem so hum drum. Honor roll, family pics, and on and on, One minute and the next there is chaos. Our family has been dealt a few setbacks lately and still we go on ticking. LOL (laughing out loud). I say that because after having 9 setbacks in the last two weeks we had another today! Not so bad I guess, just lots of work for Ed. My radiator sprung a leak or something. Brent and Tony had to come rescue Haley and I on the way home from her school today. Last Tuesday Ed radiator in his Ford Explorer exploded at 70 on the freeway. Last month Michael's transmission went out and then the car we loaned him was stolen!!! Geez, I know there are some sort of lessons here LOL (The car was recovered two weeks later, empty of all contents of course, but drivable. Guess we should be grateful for that huh?

The hardest test yet happened on April 14th when Ed's dad passed away suddenly. We will all miss him. He lived about 60 miles from us and Ed was lucky enough to have spent some time with him on Sunday, the day before he passed. Ed is the oldest of 12 kids, 9 living and is/was in charge of everything. His brothers and sisters all pitched in and together we were able to have a very nice funeral here in Rocklin AND a service and burial in Michigan as well. Ed just landed at Sac airport tonight coming home from that task.

The service here was held in the wonderful old historic St. Mary's church in Rocklinl It's no longer a catholic church but instead a historic location where services, weddings, etc can be held. Dad's was the first funeral held there. The highlight of the day for us was when his children in attendance all pulled the bell rope together after the service. It was wonderful. Oops gotta go into the other computer for the pics.

LOL I just found all these drafts and decided to finish and post them! Ed is the executor of the estate and so far so good. Everyone is beng very patient and giving him lots of space. His job has been so demanding too that I worry about him a bit.
