Back to Normal Life!

I finished working at the fair today. I was supposed to work until 7 but she let us mom's/grams go to pick up our kiddos and stay home. I had a good time doing it, I am exhausted A LOT but the perks were: I learned so much about the fair from the inside. I got to be there when my babies stuff was judged AND given 1st place ribbons for the most part. I got to talk to lots of photog people about what a great photographer my daughter is. That was really fun. Proud mom here. And I figured out how to enter my stuff 'smarter' in the future. Also I learned where all the extra food you enter goes too! Those ladies (me) rewrap everything entered and yes a few got consumed and a few got taken home LOL

This pic and the last one are of the big display that Placer County entered into the State Fair. It won all kinds of awards and they took it down Tues there and put it up Wed and Thurs AM on Thursday. I met the designer and it was so awesome. I wish I had better pictures. It had little elves in inside that told all about the county. The shiny part you see was an actual waterfall and they could look through it.

This is just a pic of Haley having her stuff judged. LOL She is sleeping in her pj bottoms tonight. AND so is her doll

After all the hard work for the first week or so then Thurs night through Sunday we just had to babysit the building and answer questions. I met some really nice people and luckily I didn't have to deal with any jerks. We did have some excitement on Friday night when a 6 yr old got separated from her parents and wondered out into the fairgrounds. It was so scary for awhile but she was finally found about 25 min. later!!! I was really unhappy with how the fair responded to this so guess I will take it on as my next crusade. Like I need more to do.

I should stop cause this is long but I forgot to say that I had visitors on Friday. Mandy, Obee and the kids came by while I was working and they were so much fun. I was so proud to play with them in front of everyone knowing they were mine LOL AND on Tues. Haley didn't have school so she came with me to start putting things up and she wore her healies. So she skated back and forth helping everyone all day. I really was proud of her, no complaints. Everyone said she was such a sweetheart. Gee it's nice to have greats kids and grandkids.
