How did my little boy get to be a man? An Army soldier especially. Guess I need to share that our son Michael has been accepted into the Army. He has some paperwork to still fill out and then he gets sworn in next week. It looks like two or three weeks and he will be off to basic training. I am sitting here wondering how I feel about the whole thing. I am pleased that he has decided to be proactive about his life and that this will give him a solid direction. Of course I am shaking in my boots too because war scares me! I guess the only way to be happy for him, be supportive and be on his side is to only take one day at a time. Yes I have considered living in a closet for the next two or three years as plan B if necessary!
Maybe we will have to have a send off party for him? Stay tuned...
